5 on Friday

1. I want, no NEED one of these bags! The blue or red, hmmm? I have a Crumpler because other camera bags are just ugly. Not because the Crumpler is a thing of beauty, its not. But because the other "pretty" camera bags out there just never seemed padded enough. But these, oh they are fabulous. Maybe I will get one for Valentine's Day (fingers crossed).

2. Warning, rant ahead. These days I am going out of mind with the mess that is my whole house, particularly the floor! I've always let my kiddos have free range of the house and now I just want to corral my two kiddos in a small area in the family room. They open drawers, cabinets, move chairs to climb higher, take things out of the fridge, put things in the fridge, go through my make-up, open my clothes drawers, dump all clothes onto the floor, etc., etc.! ARGHHHHH! Most of this mess is done by my 1 year old, enabled by the older one. My house is an open floor house plan so having baby gates up doesn't really work in my house. I can't block off the kitchen and I shut the bathroom doors but Lulu opens them for Delilah and then Delilah goes in and creates havoc. Same with my bedroom. Lately its just driving me crazy! Telling Delilah "no!" is like talking to a brick wall. My dogs listen better than her. Also, the toys. I see some spring cleaning with the toys in the near future. The ones not played with are going to be donated, along with some books. My house is just to small, have I mentioned that before? OK, done. Proceed.

3. We saw Santa on Tuesday and Lulu almost froze up. Thank goodness we were t he only ones there (it was so dead, surprisingly). But she did manage to get out two requests, the hideous Princess castle thing and a puppy doctor (?). The funny part is that she thought he was going to give them to her right then. She kept saying "where are my presents?"

4. My niece, nephew and brother/sister-in-law are all appearing in The Nutcracker this weekend, but the real star (sorry guys) is my niece, Alicia. She is an AMAZING ballet dancer and its the only thing she wants to do in life. So don't be surprised if I blog in the future about flying to NYC to see her dance! She is that good! I also see a dessert created and named after her too. ;) (For those scratching their heads, one word: Pavlova). Here are some photos from last year's performance. I will be shooting her again this year in full manual on my camera with my 50 1.4, so I'm hoping they will turn out much better and clearer!

5. Happy Friday everyone!

  1. I feel ya on the mess, it's rough!

Is the Nutcracker performance at CCV? I really want to take Sam to see it, but it's way too expensive at Symphony Hall.
