Laundry Soap

Several friends have requested the laundry soap recipe so here is a link to the one I used from my good friend, Nancy. Note: DO NOT dilute to make 10 gallons. Works better if its more concentrated. Basically, do not fill your recycled detergent jug with half water and half of the laundry detergent. Just fill the entire jug with detergent. Also, it doesn't really "gel" more like "clumps" or if you store it outside in the heat (like me) it will look like soapy water. This works great and lasts a long time! Double win!

These were taken earlier this month at my aunt and uncle's house in Black Canyon City. This is my Aunt Nancy, my late Grandmother Julie's sister. I was tearing up behind the camera thinking about my Grandma and how she didn't get to meet my daughters. She passed away when I was 4 months pregnant with Lulu. Oh how she would have loved them! She had 6 boys and wished girls upon everyone. She told me I was having a girl and 2 weeks after she passed we found out that she was indeed right! Oh how I miss her.

"pooped out"

Some funny sayings from Lulu this week that I just have to document:

"When I get older, I can drink wine, wear Mommy's makeup, sleep in Mommy's bed and watch Cartoon Network. That's my plan."

While eating a trail mix bar, she squeezed the rest of the wrapper and the bar came out: "Mommy, it pooped out of the wrapper!" I think she meant popped but pooped kinda works too.

Look at that cute little tush. I submitted this photo for a contest to win a spot in this workshop. I didn't win but the photo did get a "like" mention and $100 off, so that was pretty cool. I recognized my friend Sarah's photo and she received a like mention too. So double win!! :)

This photo pretty much sums up what we've been up to around here. Spending lots of time outside playing while we can until the weather turns super hot here in the desert.
